Asobe no Mori Iwakiso is a place to enjoy the natural beauty of Iwaki.
The warm design of the various parts of the building produces an ultimate time of rest and relaxation.

Restaurant “Asobe no Mori”
Dishes made with seasonal local ingredients are served in an open-air restaurant made of oak trees.
The wooden deck offers a view of the natural forest that changes with the seasons, and gentle ambience is produced with lighting made from natural wood and akebia vines crafted by a local artist. The restaurant is open to be used as a daytime dining place.

Wadona, Dining in a Restored Traditional Japanese House
The restaurant is housed in a 100-plus year old traditional Japanese house that was moved to this location.
The “counter dining room” is a single paneled dining room facing the open kitchen, where you can enjoy your meal and chat with the craftsmen.
The “irori (hearth) seat” is a wooden floor seating where you can enjoy charcoal-grilled dishes.
The “table seat” has a large window with a beautiful view of the mountains.
The “detached house” is on a separate structure offering a luxury space, allowing you to enjoy your meal in the unique atmosphere of a traditional Japanese house in an intimate private setting.

Banquet Room “Kogin no Yakata”

This is a private banquet room suitable for a wide range of purposes, styles, and number of people, such as family and friend gatherings, conferences, and meetings.
We offer a variety of styles to suit your needs, from set meals on tatami mats to table seating.



After Bath Lounge “Subuto no Ma”

This is a lounge area with subutos (irori hearth) to relax after taking a bath.
Local regulars gather here, offering a lively atmosphere with local Tsugaru dialect that can only be found at Iwakiso.
Live Tsugaru Shamisen Performance

Every night, guests can enjoy live Tsugaru shamisen performance at the After Bath Lounge “Subuto no Ma.”
Come experience the soulful sounds and the culture born in Tsugaru. (Free admission)

Kiosk Meheyakko

The terrace at Iwakiso offers an exceptionally pleasant space being surrounded by nature. Outdoor chairs are available on the terrace.
Whether you want to relax and enjoy the trees in the courtyard, read a book, or take a break after taking a bath, it will not disappoint.

Smoking Room

We have prepared a smoking room on the second floor.
All guest rooms are non-smoking. Please use the smoking room if necessary.
It is available 24 hours a day.
*Guests under 20 are not allowed to enter.
